Who We Are and What We Do for You
Owner-operator Alan Christeson started his auto career at his father's gas station and later started his own business in 1981. Soon after, he purchased his shop and has grown it into the most trusted auto restorer in Northern Iowa.
Alan personally supervises operations, often taking a hands-on role for more complicated repairs. Al's Custom Auto Body is family-owned and operated, serving Rockford and the surrounding areas. Call us for FREE estimates!
Working With You and Your Insurance Company
At Al's Custom Auto Body, we specialize in collision repair on all foreign and domestic vehicles. We handle the details for you and work closely with your insurance company's adjuster, handling all accident claims with all insurance companies.

Our shop is affiliated with most major industry associations, including The Inter-Industry Conference on Auto Collision Repair (I-CAR), a not-for-profit international training organization founded in 1979 and dedicated to improving the quality, safety, and efficiency of auto collision repair.
We are also an I-Car Platinum Shop employing master painters and offering a lifetime warranty on qualified applications.
Our shop is also a member of The Society of Collision Repair Specialists (SCRS), an association of auto body repair and paint shops that fosters greater industry professionalism and excellence. We are a proud member of the Iowa Collision Repair Association.
Al is an official judge for the ISCA (International Showcar Association) and has been judging shows around the country for many years. He has an eye for detail and takes pride in what he does.
